How do I calculate the percentage of a number?
To find X% of Y, multiply Y by X and divide by 100. For example, 20% of 150 = 150 × 20 ÷ 100 = 30.
How do I find what percent one number is of another?
Divide the first number by the second and multiply by 100. So 30 is 30 ÷ 150 × 100 = 20% of 150.
How do I calculate percentage increase or decrease?
Subtract the original from the new value, divide by the original, then multiply by 100. From 100 to 150 is a 50% increase; from 150 to 120 is a 20% decrease.
