How a wa.me link is built
A WhatsApp click-to-chat link follows a fixed pattern: https://wa.me/<number>, where the number is your full phone number in international format with no plus sign, no spaces and no leading zero. If you add a message, it becomes https://wa.me/<number>?text=<your%20message>. The message part is "URL-encoded", which simply means spaces and special characters are swapped for safe codes so the link never breaks. This generator handles all of that automatically — you type the number and message in plain text and it produces the correct, ready-to-use link. Getting the country code and number right
The single most common mistake is leaving the number in local format.
